These fantastic bars filled with cheese are delicious. They are great with beer so you can prepare those bars with cheese when you invite your friends over to watch some movie or sports. I was delighted with those bars and I think you will be to.
Ingredients for the dough:
125 ml milk
1/2 tea spoon of sugar
1 tea spoon salt
100g grated Swiss cheese
Stir the yeast into warm milk and add sugar. Put it away for yeast to swell. Meanwhile stir flour and salt. When the yeast is swollen add it to the flour. Then add softened butter and knead a smooth dough. Put it away for 30 minutes to double in size. When the dough has doubled, shuffle it and roll out into a rectangle 4 mm (1/6 inch) thick. Cut the dough in half lengthwise.
Stir yolks with two tablespoons of water and apply in thin layer over one half of the dough. Spread grated swiss cheese and cover with the other half of the dough. Cut the dough in bars 2 cm (3/4 inch) wide.
Gently twist the bars with your fingers and put them in a greased baking sheet.
Brush them with the remaining mixture of yolks and water. Bake those bars with cheese in preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15 minutes.
Serve them with glass of beer or some dressing and enjoy !
