Hussar cookies

hussar cookies

These cookies are named in honor of elegant soldiers Hussars…Maybe because they look like the buttons from their uniforms. However, Hussar cookies can be quickly and easily prepared. You can get a lot of cookies from this amount of dough so it is best to prepare them for holidays when you expecting guests.

Ingredients:

1 table spoon of vanila extract

200g butter

100g sugar

2 yolks

300g all-purpose flour

100g of roasted and grind  hazelnuts

Instructions:

Knead the dough from the  ingredients above. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and put it in a fridge for 2 hours. After 2 hours remove the dough from the fridge and put it on the floured board.  Shape it into a roll and cut into thin slices.

Shape a little ball out of each slice and put each ball in greased baking sheet. With a wooden spoon push a small hole in the middle. You have to do it slowly, otherwise the ball will break.
