Mini pizzas are prepared from dough coated with the tomato sauce and oregano, sprinkled with grated ham and grated cheese, rolled up and cut into slices. It is much faster than doing the rolls but it is equally, if not more, delicious as the rolls. The kids love this delicious mini pizza snacks and because of that mini pizzas are the perfect snack for children’s birthdays.
Ingredients for dough:
1 envelope of yeast
1 tea spoon sugar
700 ml warm milk
1 tablespoon salt
Stir the yeast into 100ml of warm milk and add one tea spoon of sugar. Then stir flour and salt and the mixture with yeast. Then add 600ml of warm milk and oil and knead a smooth dough. Put it away for at last 30 minutes to double in size.
When the dough has doubled in size, divide it in four equal parts.
Ingredients for filling:
400ml of tomato sauce
1 tablespoon of oregano
100ml of ketchup
500g grated ham
500g grated Swiss cheese
Mix tomato sauce, ketchup and oregano in a bowl. Mix until it all combine.
Put the first peace of dough on to the floured board. Stretch the dough to get a huge rectangle of dough.
Put tomato sauce mixture all over the stretched dough and spread grated ham and grated cheese over the tomato sauce mixture.
Roll the dough into and cut it into equal slices approximately 5 cm (1.95 inches) thick.
Do the same procedure with another three parts of dough. Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) until mini pizzas get a nice brown crust. Serve warm with the rest of tomato sauce as a dipping sauce.
