Peaches

Peaches

Peaches are the finest small cookies I ‘ve ever eaten. They are called peaches because they look like real small peaches. Shortcrust pastry filled with juicy chocolate filling makes this cookies incredibly delicious. Well, you just gotta try them and I guarantee that you will love them.

Ingredients for the dough:

500 g of [easyazon_link identifier=”B005EOTMA6″ locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]flour[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B005EOTMA6″ key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

2 [easyazon_link identifier=”B00YT6QD70″ locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]eggs[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B00YT6QD70″ key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

200 g of [easyazon_link identifier=”B004LAZ8SO” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]sugar[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B004LAZ8SO” key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

100 g of [easyazon_link identifier=”B00NJYM12O” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]pork lard[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B00NJYM12O” key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

100 g of [easyazon_link identifier=”B005TPJN7M” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]butter[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B005TPJN7M” key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

1 envelope (9g) of [easyazon_link identifier=”B009EQRC3E” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]vanilla sugar[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B009EQRC3E” key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

1 envelope (16g) of [easyazon_link identifier=”B00D97G4LA” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]baking powder[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B00D97G4LA” key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

Instructions:

Mix eggs and sugar with [easyazon_link identifier=”B000QRB1GE” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]mixer[/easyazon_link] until they become a foamy mass, then add pork lard and softened butter. Mix until you get a smooth mixture and then add  flour, vanilla sugar and backing powder. Now put away electrical mixer and knead the dough with your hands. You’ll get quite soft, but still compact dough. Do not knead it too long because it will become softer. Let it rest for half an hour.

Take the small pieces of the dough  into your hands and create small balls. Make smaller balls because peaches will then be easier to eat and sweeter. This, however, demands a longer process but it is worth it because it is much nicer to see small peaches than real size peaches. Put the balls to the [easyazon_link identifier=”B0026RHI3M” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]baking sheet[/easyazon_link] covered with [easyazon_link identifier=”B001KUWGDS” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]parchment paper[/easyazon_link].

Peaches - balls

Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes at 180 ° C (356° Fahrenheit). Baked peaches must be with light yellow surface with just a shade darker edge at the bottom. When the balls are cooled down carefully carve the center of every ball with a sharp knife.

Instructions:

Peaches - filling

Fill the ball halves and connect them together.

Peaches - assembling

Mix  250ml of cold milk and add 2 tablespoons of strawberry flavor. The amount of flavor depends on the intensity of the color and flavor you want to achieve. In a deeper plate put 150 g of sugar  and vanilla sugar. Connected halves dip in the colored milk, first one side and then the other side and put them on the tray. Then every peach roll into sugar in the order that you have dipped them in milk. This way you will achieve that sugar do not melt in contact with freshly soaked peaches and that the perfect amount of the sugar will stay on the peach.

Peaches - rolling

Leave the peaches on the tray to dry out a couple of hours. You can put them in the box with a lid and keep like that until serving.

Bon appetit!
