When I was little my grandmother use to bake this famous pretzels. Now, when she’s gone I took her recipe and now I often bake this snacks for my children. They are very tasty and you can’t stop nibbling it. If you don’t have molds they can be any form you want, for example sticks. Try them, they are easy to make!
Melt the yeast in 100ml of milk in which you previously added one tea spoon of sugar. Put it away and leave the yeast to swell.
Meanwhile mix up flour and salt manually. Add swollen yeast, 150ml of warm milk, butter, oil and eggs. Start to knead dough with your hands until it becomes a smooth paste.
Divide the dough into three parts and each part immediately roll out to 1cm (1/2 inch) thick. Use the mold to cut pretzels out.
Stack the pretzels in a greased baking sheet and brush them with one beaten egg.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit). When they get nice brown colour, remove from the oven and serve.
