Really delicious roll with cottage cheese filling. Goes well with all kinds of meats or it can be served independently. This roll with cottage cheese don’t need much time to be prepared so you can make it when you guests have already arrived or when you need some speedy prepared baking meal. Try it!
1 tablespoon baking powder
300g cottage cheese
2 teaspoons salt
12 sheets fillo pastry
1 yolk for brushing and sesame for sprinkle
Mix eggs and yogurt, slowly add flour, baking powder and one teaspoon of salt. Mix until you get a smooth mixture and put it away. Mix cottage cheese with one teaspoon of salt. Take 12 sheets of fillo pastry and separate them in two piles (it mean that you must have 6 sheets in each pile). Lay out first sheet of fillo pastry and wash over with a mixture of yogurt, eggs and other ingredients. Throw over the second sheet and then wash over again. Do that with another two. On last two sheets of filo pastry spread cottage cheese and all roll up.
Bake the rolls with cottage cheese in preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit) for 20 minutes. Take out from oven, cut on slices and serve.
