Poppy seed strudel with zuchinni

This is another variant of sweet strudel. Instead of apples or cherries this strudel is filled with poppy seeds and zucchini. Believe me poppy seed strudel with zucchini is the perfect combination for refreshing desert for hot summer days. Try it and I’m sure you will like it.

Ingredients:

100 ml (1/2 cup) of [easyazon_link identifier=”B003P79DMG” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]oil[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B003P79DMG” key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

12 sheets of [easyazon_link identifier=”B0001217R2″ locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]filo pastry[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B0001217R2″ key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

200ml (one cup) of [easyazon_link identifier=”B00CHU4UNO” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]sour cream[/easyazon_link] [easyazon_cta align=”none” identifier=”B0009TN7F2″ key=”small-orange” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]

Instructions:

Peel and clean the zucchini from seeds and then grate them into a bowl. Add the sugar and mix well. After  that drain all the juice from the zucchini. Take the first sheet of filo pastry and sprinkle it with oil. Cover it with another sheet and spread the drained zucchini over the entire surface. Sprinkle it with poppy seeds and roll the strudel.

Do the same procedure to get three more strudel. Pick up the strudel with a couple of wide [easyazon_link identifier=”B00OYA61EG” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]spatulas[/easyazon_link] and lay it on a buttered [easyazon_link identifier=”B00JG3TBVQ” locale=”US” tag=”handymtips03-20″]baking sheet[/easyazon_link] (like we did in the fine strudel recipe). Glaze the strudels with sour cream and bake them in preheated oven at 180°C (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes.

When the strudels get nice brown crust, get it out from the oven and put it away to cool down. When they cool down sprinkle them with icing sugar.
