Triangles with hazelnuts are surely on my list of the best cookies. Some may have heard of it, some of you maybe tried them, but definitely when you try one you can count on to take another after that. Triangles with hazelnuts are totally easy to make and if you cut it in my measures you will get a lot of them. However, triangles with hazelnuts are cookies which are definitely worth to try out.
Ingredients for dough:
225 g of flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
100 g sugar
1 egg yolk
100 g butter
Mix flour with baking powder. Add sugar, vanillin sugar, egg, egg yolk and softened butter. Mix well until everything combines. Put the mixture in the baking pan lined with parchment paper. Spread dough all over the baking pan with your fingers.
Ingredients for filling:
3 tablespoons apricot jam
150 g butter
150 g sugar
3 tablespoons water
100 g ground hazelnuts
200 g chopped hazelnuts
Brush the dough with apricot jam.
Put butter, sugar, vanillin sugar and water on the low heat and mix manually until all dissolves. Remove from heat and stir ground and chopped hazelnuts in the mixture.
Put the mixture away to cool slightly. When it is cooled spread the mixture over the dough.
Bake it in preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for 25 minutes. When it is baked put it away to cool down. When it is cooled down cut into strips of the same thickness horizontally and vertically (4 x 4 cm/ 1,5 x 1,5 inches), and then each cut diagonally to get the triangles.
Ingredients for the glaze:
200 g dark chocolate
3 tablespoons of oil
Melt chocolate on steam. When it is melted add oil and mix until you get nice, shiny mixture. Dip two angles of the triangle into the melted chocolate.
Serve with glass of milk or a cup of coffee.
